Ethiopian Icon Workshop with Christopher Gosey

Presented by Museum of Russian Icons at Museum of Russian Icons, Clinton

July 25 - July 26

This hands-on workshop with iconographer Christopher Gosey will cover the theology, purpose, and spiritual meaning of Ethiopian and Eastern Orthodox icons; the spiritual preparations for painting an icon; and techniques used in the Ethiopian tradition. Each student will complete a 7”x 9” icon of “Christ the Suffering Servant,” a classic Ethiopian representation.
