The Network for Arts Administrators of Color (or NAAC Boston) was established to enhance the visibility of professionals of color in Greater Boston’s arts and culture sector, as well as widen the leadership pipeline and highlight opportunities for professional and personal growth in the field.

The Black Clown

Presented by American Repertory Theater at Loeb Drama Center, Cambridge

August 31 - September 23

The Black Clown is a world premiere music theater experience that fuses vaudeville, opera, jazz, and spirituals to bring Langston Hughes' verse to life onstage and animate a Black man’s resilience against a legacy of oppression. The production features Davóne Tines (Crossing and Run AMOC! Festival) in the title role, an ensemble of twelve, and a new score by Michael Schachter (Run AMOC! Festival).

Run time is 80 minutes with no intermission
